Grinding Your Coffee Beans

Grinding coffee just before brewing preserves freshness, aroma, and natural oils that define the character of 100% Arabica coffee.

Grinding Options

  • Electric Burr Grinder
Produces consistent grind size for balanced extraction across all brewing methods.

  • Hand Grinder
A traditional and portable option that offers excellent control. Ideal for pour-over, drip, and manual brewing, while encouraging a slower, more intentional coffee ritual.

Grind Size Guide

  • Coarse → French Press

  • Medium → Drip Coffee, Pour-Over

  • Fine → Espresso

(Blade grinders are not recommended, as uneven particles can lead to bitterness or under-extraction.)

How to Prepare Drip Coffee (15g Drip Bag)

Each Coffee Penida drip bag contains 15g of freshly ground 100% Arabica coffee, carefully portioned to deliver balance, clarity, and aroma.

  • Secure the drip bag over your cup, ensuring it sits evenly.

  • Heat water to 90–95°C, just below boiling.

  • Gently pour a small amount of hot water over the coffee and allow it to bloom for 20–30 seconds, releasing aroma and enhancing extraction.

  • Continue pouring the remaining water slowly in stages, allowing the coffee to filter naturally.

  • Once brewing is complete, remove the drip bag and enjoy.

Recommended water volume (per 15g drip bag):

  • 200ml → bolder and more intense

  • 220ml → balanced and smooth (recommended)

  • 230ml → lighter with a clean finish
